CPC Dialogue: China shares its global vision

Summary:

December 1, Leaders from over 200 parties and political organizations in more than 120 countries have gathered in Beijing for the CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-level Meeting. The theme of the meeting is “Working together towards a community with a shared future for mankind and a better world: Responsibilities of political parties.”, highlighting the CPC’s efforts to promote its international vision worldwide.

Building a community with a shared future for mankind is a signature concept of China’s diplomacy under President Xi Jinping, who is also the General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee. “To make new and greater contributions for mankind is our Party’s abiding mission, which highlights Chinese Communists’ historical consciousness, international vision and care for the world,” Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said in a statement at a group discussion during the congress, stressing that the CPC has a historical mission to “advance for the progress of human political civilization.”

Many political leaders attending the dialogue with the CPC also praised the vision. Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, also president of the Cambodian People’s Party, said he and his party agree with Xi’s vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind. Myanmar’s State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi is also attending the meeting.

“Proposing the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind has highlighted Chinese wisdom in the course of global governance,” Julio Rios, a Spanish expert on China, told Chinese media on Thursday. In the age of globalization, political parties from different countries need to enhance communication and learn from each other to address problems and challenges in the world, he said.

CPC Dialogue: China shares its global vision

Leaders from over 200 parties and political organizations in more than 120 countries have gathered in Beijing for a high-level dialogue with the Communist Party of China (CPC), a meeting that highlights the CPC’s efforts to promote its international vision worldwide.

The CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-level Meeting, scheduled from Thursday to Sunday, has a grand theme: “Working together towards a community with a shared future for mankind and a better world: Responsibilities of political parties.”

Building a community with a shared future for mankind is a signature concept of China’s diplomacy under President Xi Jinping, who is also the General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee.

According to Xi’s report to the 19th CPC National Congress in October, the concept calls for building an open, inclusive, clean and beautiful world that enjoys lasting peace, universal security and common prosperity.

The concept, offering inspiration to a world beset by rising challenges, has been widely welcomed by the international community. In late October, it was written into resolutions of the United Nations General Assembly on the prevention of an arms race in outer space.

Many political leaders attending the dialogue with the CPC also praised the vision.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, also president of the Cambodian People’s Party, said he and his party agree with Xi’s vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind and look forward to exchanging views with Xi and leaders of other political parties on national, regional and global development.

Myanmar’s State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi is also attending the meeting. She expressed wishes of her National League for Democracy (NLD) to deepen the exchange with the CPC and continuously strengthen their mutual trust and cooperation.
